Focusing mainly on Whys, Why Nots & what could’ve & Should’ve !! The main point to note is that chess teaching needs to be done in a structured way.
I would prefer to ‘Start Slow’ – The board, the pieces, and the rules Introduce the board and the squares first. Then teach each piece individually and show their full range of movement. Use mini-games like pawns vs. pawns only or just King vs. pawn, so it could be easy for the beginners to grasp.
Would provide homework after the lecture.
Learning Goals: Students will learn the basics of the game. Mastering the basics first will enable them to confidently move to the next level
