CREATIVE WRITING COURSE FOR KIDS
Target Age Group: 8-10-year-olds
Number of Sessions Required: 18-20
Duration of each session: 50-60 minutes
While we start laying emphasis on Grammar and books very early, we often ignore the need and power of creative writing. It is very important to brainstorm and churn the wheels of our minds to think innovatively. The course offers young kids a complete course to give them a chance to explore the world of creative writing and express their ideas more effectively.
Brief Outline of the Syllabus is as follows:
Unit 1:Learn new words each day and start inculcating them into your vocabulary
Unit 2:Writing- Begin by Picture Reading, its description writing and then move to write summaries of stories
Unit 3:The Short Story: In this unit, kids will level up and start writing their own short stories
Unit 4:Writing with Feeling: Writing Diary Entry, Dialogues of a Given Scenario
Unit 5:A bit of Fun: Some fun activities while learning to write creatively
Unit 6: Adding a Dash of Imagination: Learn how to write a pet story,a quest story, a superhero story etc.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, the student will learn to:
- imagine possible futuristic worlds
- write great description
- think about tense and perspective
- organize ideas
- express themselves clearly
- write simple, structured paragraphs

The course is designed to give young minds a chance to explore the world of creative writing and express their ideas more effectively.
Brief Outline of the Syllabus is as follows:
Unit 1:Vocabulary and Grammar: Brush up the basics of grammar, learn some new words and start inculcating them into your vocabulary
Unit 2:Writing Basics: We will begin writing from Picture Compositions, Diary Entries and then move to write summaries of stories.
Unit 3: Letter and Report Writing: In this module, the student will learn to write formal/informal letters and reports of certain events
Unit 4: Story Writing-I: Understanding the basics of story writing-Theme, Plot, Characters, and writing stories using hints
Unit 5: Story Writing-II: Writing short stories using your own imagination- Spinning Off Characters and writing their dialogues
Unit 6: Blogging and Writing Social Media Content
